“Temple” tourist complex | Visit Sukhbaatar Square, Chinggis Khaan’s Statue Complex in front of the Parliament House, “Gandan” monastery, Zaisan Memorial Hill. See the general view of UB city on top of the mountain. Visit Bogd Khaan’s Palace Museum. Relaxing & free time. Overnight at the hotel.
Drive to “Temple” tourist complex/65km/. On the way, wander about 40 meter high “Chinggis Khaan” Statue Complex. | Tourist complex | B.L.D | 3 | Bayan Ulgii | Take a flight to Bayan Ulgii. Arrival, visit Altai Tavan Bogd national park and enjoy the area. | Tourist camp | B.L.D | 4-7 | Altai Tavan Bogd Mountain | Drive to Altai Tavan BogdMountain/165 km/ towards to Tsagaan river valley/120 km/. After reaching the road end we will trek for 11km to the base camp area at the edge of the 20km long Potanina glacier, which runs down from the highest mountains in Mongolia. Next full day trekking through Altai Mountains.
Trek back on the other side of the Tsaagan River to Shiveet Hairhan Mountain, where the Tuva people live. Here we will now be able to view the biggest petrolgyphs from the period of the Huns (approx 200 B.C.).
